Certainly many of you do not know that in Poland, Teacher’s Day is different than in other countries. As you may know, the International Teachers’ Day falls on October 5 in most countries.

In Poland, we celebrate the National Education Day on October 14 and it is commonly known as the Teacher’s Day.

On that day, it was customary that children bring teachers flowers, organize meetings, and sometimes performances at schools. In some schools the day is free from school and thanks meetings for teachers are organized the day before.

For many Poles, this day is a special and solemn day, and for teachers a form of remembrance that their work is a life calling, especially in these interesting times we live in.

October 14 is already in two days! With regards to this special day, the JAP Team sends heartfelt greetings and wishes all the to all teachers!
